Update 11/09/2021 3:27pm:
The NFL's third all-time leader in rushing yards has been announced as former NBA All-Star Deron Williams' opponent on the undercard for Jake Paul and Tommy Fury's boxing match.
Five-time Pro Bowler Frank Gore confirmed earlier reports that he would be Williams' opponent in a statement announcing the upcoming fight.
"I'm excited to be fighting on this card and can't wait to show the world what I've been working on," Gore said. "Boxing has me excited, and on Dec. 18 expect fireworks!"
Gore, who played for the New York Jets last season, has declined interest from NFL teams this season to focus on boxing. Williams and Gore's debut fight is contracted for 215 pounds and four rounds.
The undercard for the fight between Jake Paul and Tyson Fury's half-brother will also include ESPN's third-ranked pound-for-pound women's boxer Amanda Serrano and Paul's teammate, Anthony Taylor, who will fight Chris Avila, a protege of UFC superstar Nate Diaz.
