Pressa and Coi Leray have established themselves as one of the most noteworthy couples in rap music today. While Pressa has already made a name for himself in Canada, the Toronto native is finally gaining widespread recognition in the United States.

In a recent interview with HotNewHipHop, the rapper talked about his place in Toronto's rap scene, relocating to Los Angeles to expand his presence, and the success of the Coi Leray collab, "Attachments."

After talking about his upbringing and living in the U.S., Pressa explained how "Attachments" came together a little after the four-minute mark in the above interview. Pressa explained that he had already met Coi Leray prior to putting her on the breakthrough single.

"I recorded the song in Paramount, and then I put it out and it performed well," Pressa said. "I wanted to get Coi on 'Attachments,' so I reached out and got it done. The rest is history from there. I met her a long time ago when I was in the studio, but she didn't remember me."

When asked what attracted him to Coi Leray, Pressa admitted that he was drawn to the fact that she resembled him.

"I thought she looked like me. I thought she was like me. We have the same birthday, basically," Pressa responded. "The relationship is awesome. It's sweet. We don't clash. No clashes over here."

Throughout the rest of the interview, Pressa described how he deals with haters and his upcoming projects. To hear more, check out the rest of the interview above.
