NFL linebacker and Super Bowl champion Nigel Bradham was arrested and hit with drug and weapons charges this past weekend in Florida. During Saturday's traffic stop over unassigned tags, Florida Highway Patrol discovered more than three pounds of marijuana and guns in his 2021 Chevrolet Corvette.

A highway patrol trooper searched the 32-year-old's vehicle after smelling marijuana. The search resulted in the discovery of two handguns, 3.4 pounds of marijuana, and 10 small bags believed to be used for distribution.

In a report of the arrest, one of the handguns was stolen from Missouri and Bradham's name did not appear in the state's registry when he claimed to not have his marijuana card on him.

The current free agent, who last played for the Denver Broncos, has been charged with possessing marijuana with intent to sell, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of marijuana over 20 grams. All three charges are considered felonies.

The nine-year NFL veteran posted his $1,000 bond Sunday before being released from the Leon County Detention Center. He was previously arrested in 2016 on a misdemeanor concealed weapons charge when a loaded handgun was found in his backpack at Miami International Airport. Prior to that arrest, he was busted for aggravated assault by Miami police for allegedly punching an employee at a hotel.

Nigel Bradham won a Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2018.
