News cameras were rolling when a single gunshot was heard, causing visitors to flee for cover or exit the area. The shooting, which left one man with non-life-threatening injuries, reportedly occurred at a Family Dollar next door to the late rapper's memorial.

Memphis Police detained two suspects at the scene and another was apprehended after a brief pursuit. Memphis rapper Tommy Wright was visiting the memorial when heard two or three shots fired in a drive-by. According to Wright, the victim was hit in the inner thigh before bystanders at the scene helped get him to a hospital.

"We were paying our respects. About 30 or 40 people were placing flowers, signing the wall, and then a car drove by and started shooting," he said. "Everybody, man, just scattered and hit the ground. They've blocked off the whole scene, it's become another crime scene all over again."

The shooting comes one day after Young Dolph was murdered at a cookie shop. No suspects have been identified or arrested.
