In this flashback, John Salley reacted to Gilbert Arenas saying Dennis Rodman couldn't guard LeBron James, which stemmed from Rodman saying in a 2019 interview that he could easily guard James. John explained that Gilbert's comments about the hand check rule changing is true, and Salley added that they called Rodman "big man" on the Pistons. John then explained that Rodman was the fastest player and the most unbelievable physical specimen to play with, and he believes LeBron is a mix of some of the greatest NBA players. John stated that Rodman would be able to guard LeBron, but he points out that the game is much different now.
