Georgia father and son Gregory and Travis McMichael were found guilty on Wednesday (November 24) of murdering 25-year-old Ahmaud Arbery in February 2020. William "Roddie" Bryan Jr., the third defendant in the case, was also found guilty of felony murder. All three men now face a maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Travis McMichael fired the fatal shots at 25-year-old Ahmaud, and he was convicted on all counts, including the charge of malice murder. His father Gregory McMichael and neighbor William "Roddie" Bryan were convicted of felony murder and other charges.
All three men were also indicted on federal hate crime charges, for which a trial will begin in February. They each face an additional sentence of up to life in prison.
