According to reports, the former Brunswick Judicial Circuit District Attorney—Jackie Johnson was hit with accusations of favoritism to the suspects in the Ahmaud Arbery case. Now, Johnson has been arrested and charged with allegedly mishandling Ahmaud Arbery’s case.
Johnson was accused of using her influence to delay the arrests of the three white men involved in the death of Arbery. This past Wednesday, Johnson reportedly turned herself into the Glynn County Sheriff’s office after being indicted by a grand jury on counts of obstruction and violations of oath by a public officer. Johnson was released from the Glynn County detention center after posting a $10,000 bond. Stay tuned for more updates.
