On Monday (December 6), Tommy Fury, the younger brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, announced that he was forced to pull out of his scheduled fight with YouTuber Jake Paul due to a bacterial chest infection and a broken rib.
Fury stated, "I am absolutely heartbroken that I have been forced to withdraw from my fight with Jake Paul due to a bacterial chest infection and broken rib. I really do hope we can get this fight rescheduled in the new year. I want this fight to still happen more than anything."
Following the news, former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley agreed to replace Fury for a rematch against Paul on just two weeks' notice. Jake Paul then released a video, agreeing to fight Woodley, and he offered "an extra $500,000 if he knocks me out." Check out his full statement above.
