Lil Duval took to Twitter to declare, "Kodak really up there with Kendrick lyrically but y’all don’t wanna hear it tho." Duval's statement led to a back-and-forth with fans, who didn't agree with his point of view.
When one follower asked Duval to name a song that proves his point, he stated that Kodak's "Before I Go" ft. Rod Wave, and he added that most of the people hating on Kodak don't even listen to his music. Lil Duval then laughed after someone said he was comparing Kodak to former NBA star Kendrick Perkins, not Kendrick Lamar.
Lil Duval then closed out by reacting to someone saying Kodak isn't as spiritually tapped in as Kendrick, which he disagreed with, stating, " No u trippin Kodak is most definitely spiritually tapped in. That’s what makes him special."
Kodak Black reacted to the debate by retweeting messages of fans defending him and praising Lil Duval. You can check them out above.
