Russ recently sat down for an interview with The Breakfast Club, where he spoke about his latest project, CHOMP 2, and he also opened up about people in the industry dissing him over the years.

Around the 27:00-mark, Russ spoke about co-signs in the industry, and he stated that he's been able to be successful despite people in the industry calling him "whack," including Metro Boomin. Russ explained that Metro and Lil Pump added to people saying "f*** Russ" on social media, and he hit back at Metro Boomin specifically, saying that he's "too grown to be doing weird sh*t like that." Russ went on to say that he's never met Metro Boomin, and he added that everyone in the industry should be supporting one another, not tearing them down.

Russ later explained that he mentioned that a lot of producers are making beats that all sound the same, which stems from a 2017 interview with VladTV. In the interview, Russ stated, "People think that you blame the rappers for the state of hip-hop. Rappers are not making the music. You gotta blame the producers. Producers are making wack sh*t. If a producer…If all I do is rap, I’m a vocalist. If a producer sends me a pack of 20 beats, and they’re all wack and they all sound the same, I’m just f***ed. I gotta pick the best of the worst."
