The iconic image of an armed Kyle Rittenhouse, walking down the streets of Kenosha, Wisconson is one that carries a plethora of narratives for people of all over the political spectrum. On August 25, 2020, the 18-year-old shot three people -- two of whom were fatally wounded. His actions were captured on film and ruled to have been carried out in accordance with the law by Judge Bruce E. Schroeder.
Kyle Rittenhouse was acquitted of all charges. But nevertheless, his actions have spearheaded debates about racial profiling, protests, the right to bear arms, and self-defense; all over the country. Upon his official release from police custody, Kyle Rittenhouse has been heralded as a heroic figure by right-wing celebrities like Tucker Carlson and the former president, Donald Trump. In fact, the teenager has already met them both.
Now, he has his sights set on their political contemporary, President Joe Biden. In an on-air interview during the Glenn Beck Post, Kyle Rittenhouse directly addressed a tweet from Joe Biden that seemingly compared him to a White supremacist.
"I would like to sit down with the President, have a conversation with him, and tell him the facts of what happened," Kyle Rittenhouse said.
President Joe Biden gave a statement regarding the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict last month, but the president has yet to directly address Kyle Rittenhouse or the tweet that he posted with an image of the teenager back on September 30, 2020.
