Erik Charles Maund of the Maud Automotive Group has been indicted on conspiracy, kidnapping, a federal firearms charge, and murder for his alleged connection to the deaths of his mistress and her boyfriend.

The Texas native was arrested last Friday at the Austin Bergstrom International Airport for hiring a former member of the Israeli Defense Forces and two former marines to murder Holly Williams, with whom he had a prior relationship, and her lover, William Lanway. According to federal documents, Maund arranged a date with Williams before receiving messages from Lanway demanding payment or having his affair exposed.

In response to the extortion plot, Maund allegedly devised a plan to have William Lanway killed along with Holly Williams. Maund reportedly paid Gilad Peled, Bryon Brockway, and Adam Carey $750,000 "to kidnap, threaten, intimidate, and murder" the couple.

The trio of hitmen encountered the couple outside of their residence and killed Lanway on the spot before stuffing his body into a car. Williams was kidnapped and taken to a construction site where she was fatally shot. Both bodies were discovered at the construction site in April 2020.

Along with Erik Charles Maund, Gilad Peled, Bryon Brockway, and Adam Carey were also arrested last Friday. All three hitmen have been charged with conspiracy to commit kidnapping, kidnapping resulting in death, and carrying, brandishing, and discharging a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence.
