A new narrative could be added to the Lil Mosey rape case very soon. The 19-year-old rapper recently claimed that he is in possession of evidence that proves that he had engaged in consensual sex with the alleged rape victim on numerous occasions before the incident was said to have taken place.

Lil Mosey was charged with rape back in April 2021. His alleged victim claims that she blacked out from drinking and woke up while Lil Mosey and one of his associates were trying to force themselves on her.

But nevertheless, Lil Mosey has maintained his innocence. Despite possible evidence of a consensual encounter with the alleged victim, prosecutors argue that the evidence is irrelevant to whether the accuser consented to the encounter in question. In addition, the state of Washington -- where the case is being handled -- has a "rape shield" statute that usually prohibits evidence of prior sexual relationships and activities with an alleged victim at trial.

So, if the court approves of his request to submit the information that supports the claim that he only took part in consensual sex on New Years Day of 2021, this case will become all the more monumental for the prosecution team and the defendant.
