Earlier this year, rapper Tay-K gave fans an update of his case’s status. The 21-year-old was sentenced to 55 years in prison for capital murder in 2019 and noted his case was being appealed. The rapper said there was a chance that he would be able to be released on bond.

He went on to say, “There's still hope and s**t, you know, there's definitely still a chance for me to come home on an appeal bond. It's like when you bond out but you don't appeal your case so they got to give you a bond, and I have a bond here so imma bond out on both of those. That's kind of what I want to happen.” Now, the rapper has taken to Twitter and updated his situation.

Tay-K went on to tweet, “I need a new appeal lawyer.” The rapper’s interactions on Twitter have been sparse but ultimately related to his case and time in prison. The last retweet Tay-K posted was about his sentence, saying, “nigga caught 3 bodies and beat the case but tayk got 55 years.” Take a look above.
