In 2020, Draya made comments related to Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez’s connection, saying she thought they were in a “Bobby and Whitney” kind of situation, which is what sparked the alleged shooting incident. The remarks went viral, and Draya ended up losing her deal with Savage x Fenty as a result. Now, the social media personality has taken to IG and asked to be a part of the brand again for 2022.
Draya posted photos of her in the brand’s lingerie and said, “I would like my @savagexfenty deal back in 2022. Just wishful thinking.” The Shade Room posted the photo, and Draya took to their comment section to explain her growth since making the comments about Megan that led to her being dropped from the brand.
“The thing about it is I'm human and I make mistakes, but the only difference between me and everyone else is my mistakes were made in front of the world as well as my consequences,” said Draya. She continued saying, "I definitely learned a lot from this experience and I was adamant about making sure my apology was as loud as a harmful comment.
