The rise and fall of Ralo has been chronicled by every step of the rapper's journey throughout the prison system since 2018. Last year, his bond was denied because the judge alleged that the 26-year-old had been making drug deals from prison with an Apple Watch.
So, with very little hope of parole, the protege of Gucci Mane once again used modern technology to connect to the outside world. But this time, it was in order to maintain his innocence. In an Instagram post dated March 5th of 2021, Ralo said the following:
"IDK HOW TO WRITE OR SAY THIS BUT IMA JUST GET IT OFF MY CHEST. I BEEN DEALING WITH A BATTLE WITHIN MYSELF. KNOWIN THAT MY MANS AN THEM THREW ME UNDER BUS TO GET THEM A TIME CUT. I SUFFER NIGHT AN DAY FROM THAT PAIN, IN ORDER FOR ME TO FEEL BETTER IM TRYING TO PUT IT IN ME TO FORGIVE THEM AN I BEG YAWL TO FORGIVE THEM AS WELL. I WANNA PUT ALL THIS POLICE AS S*** BEHIND ME AN MOVE FORWARD IN LIFE, FORGIVE DOONKI WILD, ALL THE OTHERS AN BEGG THAT THEY DONT SAY MY NAME TO THEM FOLKS AGAIN. LET THEM FOLKS LIVE THEY LIFE IN PEACE PLZ BRO. #FREERALO."
On Tuesday, the Atlanta-born emcee made an announcement on Instagram revealing he will finally get his day in court, and ironically enough the date is set for March of this year. But unlike the previous Instagram post about his pending case, Ralo did not make any accusations aimed at his former associates. Instead, he appears to be focused on his freedom and bringing in the new year with optimism.
"After 4 years of being dragged through all these different jails and COVID BS, I finally got a date set March 15," Ralo announced. "If I ever did anything to hurt you, I ask that you forgive me. I don't wanna walk in that courtroom with no bad vibes, I need prayers for me and not AGAINST me. It's some people that love and need me free. Go to FAMERICANEWS.COM to help. On another note the feds finally allowed my music to be sold in they prison system, so tell anybody you know in the feds to go download all my music off the Corrilinks system. Assalamualaikum and #HappyNewYear#FreeRalo."
In addition to his heartfelt posts on social media, over the years, the outspoken rapper has published a series of albums that also brooch the subject of his innocence. Projects called Conspiracy (2018), Free Ralo (2019), and Political Prisoner (2021). Only time will tell if he will ever release another project as a free man.
