When it comes to on-court accolades throughout the course of an NBA career, there is not much of a comparison between Gilbert Arenas and his former teammate, Kwame Brown. But when it comes to internet buzzwords and going viral, Kwame Brown has made it very clear that Gilbert Arenas has now entered his domain.
After exchanging bards on social media for about one week, Kwame Brown and his ex-teammate had a discussion on Mr. Skinny TV's live stream. The former number one overall pick of the NBA draft didn't hold back when he called Gilbert Arenas a "dumb a** n***a" and a "White boy in Blackface." Brown also made a scathing remark about Gilbert's inability to go viral online, outside of basketball, unless he's "talking about other n***as." Sighting his recent interview with VladTV and his commentary on Kyrie Irving as prime examples.
The virtual showdown lasted about an hour and a half and it was highlighted with verbal spats about a few controversial incidents between Gilbert Arenas and two of their former teammates, Javaris Crittenton and Chris Whitney.
It ended with a screaming match about Kwame Brown's accusation that Gilbert Arenas slept with Chris Whitney's ex-girlfriend during their stint together with the Washington Wizards. The two men began to talk over each other so much that it prompted Kwame Brown to blurt out "Mute this n***a, man" to the mediator, as the final minutes winded down.
One week ago, Gilbert Arenas threatened to release a harmful video about Kwame Brown in the same vein as the blooper reel that Stephen A. Smith unleashed on the former NBA big man last year. At the end of last night's live stream, Arenas offered to make peace by shaking Brown's hand virtually to which his former teammate responded, "I'm not shaking s***. Just shut yo b**** a** up and it'll be done like that."
