Comedians are supposed to push buttons and boundaries with the things they say and do. Michael Blackson attempted to uphold his duty as a comedian with a controversial yet straightforward question about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. meant to be funny.
"I don't mean to start no sheet but I heard that Martin Luther King had a white side chick. Is it true," Blackson asked on Twitter. "I'm just a beechn***a from a little village so please let me know."
This didn't blow over too well with fellow comedian Katt Williams. In a similarly straightforward fashion, Williams characterized the inquiry as a "coon question."
