Gunna's DS4EVER is the number one album in the country and his new catchphrase just might be the most buzz-worthy term in the world. Thanks to a recently released single of the same namesake, the term "Pushin' P" has taken social media by storm.
Athletic apparel companies like Nike and mainstream restaurant chains like IHOP have taken full advantage of the new slang by utilizing the term along with the "P" emoji in social media posts. In turn, Gunna has upped the ante by saying the phrase in a slew of interviews. The 28-year-old rapper was even spotted wearing a baseball cap with a "P" emoji on it, as a way of trolling the new craze.
But even he could not have predicted what would have happened next. Nick Kosir, the famous "dancing weatherman" from FOX Weather, recently used the saying during a segment when he was reporting on the frigid temperatures that the people of south Texas were going to be met with in the days that followed.
"The people of Texas are gonna be like 'this isn't Pushin P', as that's a huge temperature swing," Kosir said.
When Gunna got wind of the news clip, he re-posted the footage on his Instagram Story with the caption, "Nawwwwwwww" along with a laughing emoji.
