Adrienne-Joi “AJ” Johnson sat down for her first-ever VladTV interview, and she started off speaking about growing up in New Jersey, and tragically losing her mother when she was just 17. AJ went on to speak about choosing to go to Spelman over Howard, and she went on to speak about dating famed boxer Evander Holyfield. After breaking up with Holyfield and graduating from college, AJ went on to pursue a career in acting, and she spoke about how Spike Lee launched her career by casting her in 1988’s School Daze. From there, AJ spoke about being chosen to choreograph “In Living Color” before getting cast in “House Party.” To hear more, including AJ speaking about working with John Singleton on “Baby Boy,” hit the full interview above.
