Howard Hewett came through for his first-ever VladTV interview, where he opened up to Shawn Prez about becoming the lead singer of Shalamar, and tensions rising with his former group member Jody Watley, who eventually left the group and was replaced. During his sit-down, Howard also confirmed that Prince played Charlie Murphy in boots with heels, which became a legendary skit on Chappelle’s Show, and he gave his take on what went down that night. He also spoke about facing 60 years in prison at one point, and being found not guilty in the case, although his fiancé pleaded guilty and went to prison.
