T.I. has been laying low recently, with the rapper previously popping out to react to an Atlanta Mayoral candidate who claims he lost her the election. Now, the rapper has revealed another path he’s gone down, noting that he’s been doing stand-up comedy.
The Atlanta rapper said he was taking the craft seriously, as he sometimes multiple sets in a night to get used to the profession. “In about two weeks of doing stand-up comedy full time (every day 2-3 shows a night sometimes) I've learned from, & earned the respect & approval of some of the funniest people I know in this s**t,” said TIP.
The rapper then gave props to veteran comedians he linked with during his journey, who he said kept it real with him. T.I. went on to say, “I'm also truly appreciative and humbled by the warm welcome I've been receiving from real comedic vets in this s**t. Allowing me the opportunity to learn, grow & accept harsh critical ridicule from the best!!! I've developed a true admiration & respect for the skill set required to stand up in front of people with no hit records or catchy hooks to carry you through the performance... just you and a room full of anxious eyes ready to be entertained.” Take a look above.
