Update 01/29/2022 5:24pm:
According to reports, rapper C Blu has posted a $250,000 bond after being arrested for allegedly shooting an NYPD cop and himself.
The rapper was locked up in a Brooklyn juvenile facility on gun and assault charges and reportedly used cash from a record deal he signed with Interscope to get out. At the time of the shooting, the rapper was apparently on probation for a gun arrest in 2020.
New York Mayor Eric Adams spoke on the release of C Blu, saying, “New Yorkers should all be outraged that a repeat offender, accused of shooting at a police officer, is today walking free on bond because judges are precluded from even considering danger to the community, like every other state and our federal courts. It is further proof that our current system is failing us.” Stay tuned for more updates.
