Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has emerged as the NFL's newest star since leading the team on an unlikely, but highly successful run. With his newfound stardom has come new friends and acquaintances that he once grew up idolizing. Burrow spoke about famous peers, such as LeBron James, reaching out and congratulating him on his success but highlighted another Ohio native who has become one of his supporters.

Shortly after leading the Cincinnati Bengals to its first Super Bowl since 1988,  Joe Burrow publically stated that Kid Cudi was one of his biggest inspirations, sighting songs like "New York City Rage Fest" and "Soundtrack 2 My Life" as a part of his pre-game ritual. In response, Kid Cudi took to social media to give his friend a congratulatory shoutout. This time around, he referred to Joe Burrow's accomplishment as the perfect way to celebrate his 38th birthday.

"Man this has to be the illest sh** ever beautiful f***in game today brother,” Cudi wrote while reposting Burrow's press conference.

The two-time Grammy-Award winner later stated that the Bengals' thrilling win was the "best bday gift ever to be honest."
