Meek Mill took to the Twitterverse today to air out his grievances with his employers over at Atlantic Records. Apparently, the Philadelphia native has been harboring some anger about their handling of his business relationship with Roddy Ricch.
While Meek Mill made it very clear that he doesn't have any animosity towards Roddy Ricch, he does believe that he played a critical role in "The Box" rapper's road to stardom and that Atlantic Records has robbed him of reaping the financial benefits of his former pupil's highly successful career in music thus far. To make matters worse, Meek Mill is also claiming that Atlantic Records is currently blackballing him and has prevented him from releasing new material for nine months.
"So look I made Atlantic records 100’s of millions and let them rape me out [of] Roddy a artist they came to me about in jail," Meek Mill wrote. "They still saying I can't drop music until 9 months after my last album got blackballed just wrapped buildings and Nina art with talent."
He also added, "Roddy my youngin still …. But that label separated us instantly when the millions came in from him… same thing they tried to do with me and rozay … it takes a long time to catch up too because most of em tied in for the love of some money …artist scared to speak up."
