Antonio Brown recently shared a message to Tom Brady after the famed quarterback announced his retirement earlier this week.
Brown's message read, "Congratulations to the [GOAT] @tombrady ... I'm forever grateful for the opportunity to play with you, thank you for enabling me to continue my career in my darkest times and helping me become a champion. I am thankful for your leadership and winning mentality to make people around you better."
Some people were skeptical about Brown's message, as it appeared that he threw shade at Brady following his mid-game departure from the Buccaneers. During an episode of the FULL SEND Podcast, Brown stated, "Tom can’t do nothing by himself, this is a football game. If Tom Brady’s my boy, why am I playing for an earnest salary? You my boy, though, right? [Rob] Gronkowski is his boy, right? How much did he get paid? So, why is AB on a prove-it deal? Who’s better than me over there? Let’s be real."
Following Brown's message to Brady about his retirement, Shannon Sharpe weighed in during a recent episode of Undisputed. Sharpe stated, "Man, AB is full of it. He's just trying to clean up the mess he made. I dismiss everything he just said. I already know how you feel about Tom Brady, you've told me how you felt about him."
