Los Angeles Lakers player Russell Westbrook has been dealing with struggles this season and was even benched recently. Now, footage has surfaced of Westbrook being booed by Lakers fans during a game with the New York Knicks.
Fans in the crowd could be heard booing Westbrook after the player came down the court and fired off a mid-range jumper that ended up hitting the side of the rim. The shot from Westbrook came as the Lakers were down almost 20 points.
The tension surrounding Westbrook’s performance throughout the season has found many outlets speculating about a possible trade. However, Westbrook has been sticking it out through the tough times, despite the chatter from fans. Ultimately, the Lakers ended up coming back from the deficit to win the game against the Knicks, which came after Westbrook was benched by coach Frank Vogel. Watch above.
