In wake of Whoopi Goldberg's controversial suspension from The View, it was recently revealed that the Academy award-winning actor once contributed a recipe to a celebrity cookbook that contained questionable wording, in regards to the Jewish community.
The cookbook is called Cooking in the Litchfield Hills and it was published back in 1993. The literature features contributions from other Hollywood stars such as Diane Sawyer and Eartha Kitt. But perhaps the most notable contribution to this collaborative effort was the one made by Whoopi Goldberg because she named her recipe "Jewish American Princess Friend Chicken."
This new revelation is just another cog in the recent wave of criticism that Whoopi Goldberg has been confronted with due to a suspension for her on-air remarks about the Holocaust. It's especially alarming because of the fact that the 66-year-old actress legally changed her name from Caryn Johnson in order to honor the Jewish ancestry that she has laid claim to in the past.
