Joe Rogan has been infamously trending on social media platforms worldwide because of the way in which he has expressed his views against taking the COVID vaccine on his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. The UFC's most prominent color commentator has also become the primary target of cancel culture ever since India.Arie released a compilation of him saying the "N-Word", two days ago.
In wake of the backlash, Spotify has removed 113 installments of Joe Rogan's podcast, including all of the episodes where the derogatory term was used. To make matters worse, A-list celebrities like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson have also retracted their support of Joe Rogan. But nevertheless, not everyone has abandoned Joe Rogan's corner. Former U.S. President Donald Trump recently released a statement that all but reinforced Joe Rogan's controversial stance. In doing so, Donald Trump displayed his willingness to be an ally for Joe Rogan during a time when he is losing celebrity friends and online content by the minute.
"Joe Rogan is an interesting and popular guy, but he's got to stop apologizing to the fake news and radical Left maniacs and lunatics. How many ways can you say you're sorry?" Trump asked before adding, "Joe, just go about what you do so well and don't let them make you look weak and frightened. That's not you and it never will be!"
Considered by many to be the originator of the anti-vax movement, this is not the first time that Donald Trump has publically aligned himself with staunch combatants of the liberal point of view. In the past, he has defended the rioters who stormed Capitol Hill on January 6th and he has even given nobs of approvement to the Proud Boys and Kyle Rittenhouse. It is still too early to tell whether or not his most recent showing of support for Joe Rogan will sway the public opinion in his favor.
