TMZ obtained the autopsy report for actor AJ Johnson, best known for his roles in Friday, I Got the Hook-Up, and The Player's Club.

Johnson's cause of death was listed as "chronic ethanol use," and his death was listed as natural. It was also revealed that AJ tested positive for COVID, but signs of pneumonia weren't detected.

AJ's wife, Lexis, spoke to TMZ about the autopsy report, and she revealed that she is starting a foundation in his name. Lexis also wants Anthony's legacy to inspire people to stop alcohol abuse, including teens, and she is now volunteering at a church to speak to them about the dangers of alcohol.

According to reports, comedian and actor AJ Johnson passed away at the age of 55. The actor was known for his roles in ‘Friday,’ ‘I Got The Hook Up,’ ‘The Player’s Club,’ and more.

The nephew of Johnson noted that his uncle was reportedly found lifeless in a store earlier this month in Los Angeles. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. As of now, a cause of death for Johnson hasn’t been revealed.

Johnson, who grew up in Compton, found himself working in many different spaces in the entertainment world and collaborated with many from Master P all the way to Halle Berry. Condolences to the family of AJ.
