Professional boxer and current WBC Middleweight champion Jermall Charlo was arrested in Texas Friday for assaulting a member of his household.

At the moment, details of the incident are scarce but the undefeated fighter was apprehended and booked on a felony assault charge shortly after a warrant was issued by the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office. Court documents claim the arrest stems from a September 2021 incident in which Charlo is accused of "punching or grabbing" a man who was a member of Charlo's "family or household."

Charlo's recent arrest is the second time in the past year that he's been in trouble with the law. In August 2021, he was accused of stealing from a waitress during a bar dispute. The case was ultimately dismissed earlier this month due to insufficient evidence.

According to jail records, the 31-year-old remains in custody, and his bail has been set for $10,000.
