Tommy Davidson recently revealed that he hasn’t heard from Jamie Foxx since making comments about him in his memoir. Davidson told the news while speaking to Page Six.
“I haven’t actually heard from him,” said Davidson. He denied the lack of communication being shady, and continued saying “I threw some light on this because the book actually was about how my odyssey can help the reader. So I just pointed out all the situations I was in that I was able to eventually transcend. It was really a road map for the reader … not only understand something but over-stand it.”
Davidson is referring to his 2020 memoir titled ‘Living In Color,’ where he was candid about his thoughts on Foxx. The comedian said he thought Foxx was talented but used a “mercilessly mean” sense of humor to get ahead, pointing out how Foxx would crack jokes on Davidson to earn cool points with ‘In Living Color’ showrunner Keenan Ivory Wayans.
Davidson then talked about his experience shooting ‘Booty Call’ in 1997, where he says they almost came to blows over a basketball game. Despite the issues, Davidson made it clear he’s okay with the alleged behavior by Foxx.
