For some time now, Wendy Williams has been taking time from her show due to “serious health complications.” Many people like Fat Joe, Remy Ma, and Sherri Shepherd have helped take on hosting duties. Wendy is reportedly ending her show, with Sherri becoming the permanent host.
Producers for the show spoke on the matter, saying, “This is also a bitter-sweet moment for us and our partners at Fox. We all have great love and affinity for Wendy, who grew into a true icon during her 12 incredible seasons as the solo host of a live, daily talk show dishing on 'Hot Topics' and interviewing celebrities.” It was noted that Wendy Williams was fine with Shepherd as a temporary replacement but was hoping to return.
As of now, there is no word on if the show’s name will change. However, Sherri Shepherd’s show is set to air in September 2022.
