Russia's decision to invade Ukraine, at the behest of its president Vladimir Putin, has been met with skepticism, opposition, and several bold predictions of a potential "World War 3" on the horizon. In response to the recent act of war, President Joe Biden has been steadfast in his viewpoint on Russia's military attack, stating that sanctions may be forthcoming from him and many of his allies within NATO. But on the flip side, the former U.S. President Donald Trump seems to be beaming with pride at the mere notion that Russia may soon regain control of the second-largest country in Europe.

During an interview with conservative podcasters, Clay Travis and Buck Sexton, the 45th  President of the United States said, "I went in yesterday and there was a television screen, and I said, 'This is genius. Putin declares a big portion of the Ukraine -- of Ukraine -- Putin declares it as an independent. Oh, that's wonderful.'... I said, 'How smart is that? And he’s gonna go in and be a peacekeeper. That’s the strongest peace force… We could use that on our southern border. That’s the strongest peace force I’ve ever seen. There were more army tanks than I’ve ever seen. They’re gonna keep peace all right.'"
