Update 03/01/2022 11:29am:

Former Gucci Mane artist Lil Wop recently came out as bisexual and delivered the message with a simple caption via Instagram. The rapper said “I’m bisexual, I like guys and girls… it’s [whatever].” Now, Lil Wop has spoken candid on his former label as well as Gucci Mane.

Via Twitter, the rapper ended up clarifying his status with 1017 Records. “I’m not signed to 1017. I got out of my contract with them in 2018.” Lil Wop then spoke about Gucci Mane, dissing the rapper in the process. “I don’t f**k with Gucci Mane, He’s a weirdo!” said the rapper. As of now, Gucci Mane hasn’t responded. Stay tuned for more updates.

Love it or hate it, the SoundCloud Rap era has produced perhaps the most expressive generation of hip hop artists to date. Pioneers like Lil Peep made it socially acceptable for prominent rappers to be fluid about their sexual identity while flamboyant mumble rappers like Young Thug have broken barriers in fashion to the point where rappers can openly wear dresses in public.

Therefore, the day before Valentine's Day seemed as good of a time as any when Chicago-based rapper Lil Wop decided to publicly declare the way in which he loves men as well as women. This marked the first time ever that the former protege of Gucci Mane made such a revelation on social media.

"I'm Bisexual I Like Guys & Girls...It's W.E," he wrote.

The announcement was accompanied by an outlandish photo of himself wearing a white t-shirt rolled up into a crop top. Scroll up to view the IG post from Lil Wop.
