Jermaine Dupri recently hung out with Bruno Mars, Usher, and Anderson .Paak, and he shared a video from the night. While sitting amongst the superstars, Jermaine first turned to Usher and told him that he "should've signed you from the jump."
Jermaine then told Bruno, "This is another [artist] who said I didn't sign him." Bruno responded, telling JD, "Let them know you had your shot," adding, "But look at us now." Bruno's response led to Anderson .Paak wagging his finger at Jermaine, who provided more context on the situation in the caption of his post.
"( Fun Fact ) @usher came to the krisKross concert in ATL at the Fox with his manager at the time AJ to get me to sign him, this was before he signed to LAFace,I wanted to do it but I didn’t have the bandwidth nor was my vision clear that I have a gift with working with younger artist,now for @brunomars he reminds me of this every time we’re together 🤣 I was so young and I didn’t have all the resources and I was true to my self in knowing that."
In the comments section, Nelly revealed that JD also passed on signing him, writing, "Dammmm @jermainedupri that make @usher @brunomars @nelly …?? 🤷🏽♂️ smh 🤦🏽♂️ lol."
