Charles Barkley and Skip Bayless are two of the most polarizing on-air personalities in sports television. They both have received their fair share of criticism from NBA greats like Michael Jordan, Kevin Durant, and LeBron James for their blatantly honest hot takes. But for one reason or another, the two award-winning members of sports media have never seen eye to eye with each other.

Over the course of the past decade, Charles Barkley has made no bones about his desire to physically harm Skip Bayless, in a joking manner, while the latter has always taken the high road. Apparently, Bayless has finally reached his boiling point with this cross-network rival. When the Oklahoma native caught wind of Barkley's most recent verbal attack during an interview on Draymond Green's podcast, it very well may have pushed the 70-year-old over the edge.

Towards the end of a segment about LeBron James on his debate show with his co-host Shannon Sharpe, the outspoken sports journalist focused his attention on Charles Barkley's scathing remarks, challenging the Hall of Fame power forward to take part in an on-air verbal showdown so that they air out their grievances with one another once and for all.

"I'm sick and tired of Charles Barkley blasting me for criticizing LeBron James," Skip Bayless said. "It's been going on for fifteen years...He said that I hate LeBron and I hate Aaron Rogers and that I lie on TV about LeBron and that I lie on TV about Aaron Rogers. I just spit the truth about both of them and because I have a new podcast, I took the liberty yesterday of using the whole hour of the podcast to fire back at Charles Barkley...I dared him, once again, I asked repeatedly for him to come on this show...For years he's said he would like to kill me and I responded finally...I finally said that's enough! When he blasted me on Draymond's podcast, I said, 'Okay.' I am now challenging Charles to join me on my podcast next week. You can have the whole hour to tell me exactly what you have as problems and issues with me and why you'd like to kill me. I just want to know and I'm just sick and tired of it because I keep seeing this happen again, again and again."
