Fifty-six years ago, a young heavyweight boxer who would go on to become known as Muhammad Ali, boldly yelled, "I'm the greatest!" after his upset victory over the Sonny Liston. The soundbite would go on to become one of the most famous quotes in sports history. The legacy left behind by the three-time heavyweight champion of the world still lives on with a litany of gyms, parks, statues, and street signs named in his honor.
One of the greatest testaments to the impact of Muhammad Ali has been his daughter, Laila Ali. Not only is she regarded by many as the best female boxer of all time, but she also has a 14-year-old son named Curtis Muhammad Conway Jr., who is a spitting image of his famous grandfather. The eldest daughter of the late boxing icon recently took to Instagram to highlight just how striking the resemblance between her father and her son is with a photo and a heartwarming caption.
“I’m still amazed at how my boy looks just like my Dad…with a sprinkle of my husband too,” Laila Ali wrote.
