Coi Leray and Nicki Minaj’s conversation on Instagram Live has gone viral, with many people calling out the comments made by Minaj towards Leray. Nicki previously responded to the backlash, and now Coi Leray has taken to Twitter to address the backlash.
“Y’all too emotional. Nicki been through a lot!!” said Leray. She continued saying, “She still standing strong, still dropping hits. She basically told me don’t let y’all wack ass comments and negative energy stop me now because MORE MONEY AND SUCCESS [equals] more problems.” She concluded by saying, “So THUG THAT S**T OUT!”
Minaj added more context as to why she didn’t back down from her thoughts, saying, “That’s why I left the live up. I spent time just focused on HOW you’re such a talented, versatile, unique artist in my eyes.” Take a look above.

Nicki Minaj recently spoke to Coi Leray on Instagram Live, where the two candidly discussed their struggles in the music industry. Coi Leray talked about the “hate” she’s encountered during her journey. Nicki Minaj responded by telling the rapper “Y’all have just experienced some of the growing pains of artistry and of social media. Y'all be thinking y'all have experienced hate and trust me, ya ain't experienced it yet. A lot of y'all have gotten, not coddled, people have been nice. People have been gentle with y'all.” Since then, Minaj received backlash for her comments and has decided to respond via Twitter.
Minaj took to Twitter and said, “From now on, my advice gon be ‘yea btch it was bad for you, it only gets worse! It never gets better, get out while you can! It’s ruining your life, btch! Nicki Minaj and Coi Leray recently dropped the track “Blick Blick,” which went #1 on the U.S. iTunes chart. Before that, Nicki went on to say why she initially denied the collaboration. Despite the issue, the two were able to come together and release the track. Now, both Nicki and Coi hopped on Instagram Live and spoke candidly about their struggles through music. However, Nicki went on to say newer female artists haven’t experienced what real hate, following Coi Leray mentioning haters.
During their conversation, Leray talked about some of the hate she received. Nicki went on to say, “Can you girls stop talking about hate? Y'all have never experienced hate the way I have experienced. What y'all have experienced is nothing.”
The Queens rapper didn’t stop there, saying, “Y’all have just experienced some of the growing pains of artistry and of social media.
