Update 03/20/2022 1:39pm:

The online feud between Kanye West and Pete Davidson, which seemingly is over Kim Kardashian, has spilled into real life. It was announced that Kanye West was barred from performing at the Grammys due to “concerning online behavior.” While the Grammys didn’t reference a specific incident, West’s Instagram account was suspended for 24 hours following his comments about Pete Davidson and Trevor Noah.

Trevor Noah responded to West calling him a racial slur, saying, “I hate to see you like this.” Now, Noah has responded to the Grammys taking West out of his performance slot on the program. Via Twitter, Noah went on to say, “I said counsel Kanye not cancel Kanye.” Via CNN, a source spoke to the platform and said, “Trevor never asked the Grammys to ban Kanye from performing. He was not offended by Kanye's Instagram post, and Trevor responded on Instagram. The notion that Trevor or his team asked the Grammys to ban Kanye is ridiculous.” Stay tuned for more updates.

The Grammys are set to take place soon, and Kanye West was reportedly gearing up to perform at the event. However, Kanye West has been barred from the event due to “concerning online behavior.”

The news was reported by Variety, who spoke to a representative for West. The rep confirmed a report from The Blast that said West’s team got a phone call from the Grammys saying he was “unfortunately” removed from the show due to his “concerning online behavior.” News of this comes despite the fact West is nominated for five 2022 Grammy awards. When speaking on the report, West’s representative reportedly sent a message that only said, “This is confirmed.”

The move was more than likely made due to West’s recent words he fired off at comedian Trevor Noah, who is the host for the Grammys this year. News of this comes after West was banned from Instagram for 24 hours. Stay tuned for more updates.
