Ice Cube has been candid about the ‘Friday’ movies in the past, as the mogul previously revealed he wanted to create another installment of the series. Now, Cube has addressed some fake news about the series, with the news claiming Druski and Vince Staples would be starring in the next iteration of the film.
The tweet from the Twitter user said, “A ‘Friday’ prequel is in the works for HBO Max. Comedian Druski and rapper Vince Staples are attached [to] the lead roles.” Cube saw the tweet and simply responded, “This is blasphemy.”
Cube previously spoke on how much the actors got paid for the first ‘Friday’ movie and even addressed trying to get Chris Tucker on board for the second movie. Cube went on to say, “We were ready to pay Chris Tucker $10-12m to do Next Friday, but he turned us down for religious reasons. He didn’t want to cuss or smoke weed on camera anymore.” Take a look above.
