In 2020, it was revealed that LeBron James was set to star in the sequel to the iconic ‘Space Jam’ movie. The sequel ended up coming out in July 2021 and was met with mixed reviews, with Rotten Tomatoes essentially going in on the film. Now, it appears LeBron James has won an award for the movie, but not one fans and supporters would expect.

The NBA superstar went on to get nominated for multiple Razzie awards at the Razzies, an award show held the day before the Oscars to highlight the worst films that dropped in the past year. According to reports, James won a Razzie award for the worst actor. Along with that, James received a Razzie award for worst screen couple, which was reportedly in reference to James’ on-screen chemistry with the Looney Tunes characters featured in the movie.

The awards for the ‘Space Jam’ movie didn’t stop there though, as the movie received an award for ‘Worst Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel.” Despite many panning the sequel, the movie reportedly made $31 million on the first weekend it was featured in theaters.
