Previously, reports surfaced claiming that Kanye West told Kim Kardashian that he’s “going away” for a period of time to get help after public rants aimed at her and her new boyfriend Pete Davidson. A source that spoke to Page Six allegedly said “For the sake of the kids, Kanye has told Kim he’s not making any public appearances or inflammatory social media statements.” The source told the outlet “he will go away somewhere to get better.” Now, Jason Lee has issued a statement on the alleged claims, saying they are false. 

While speaking to Yahoo!, Lee went on to say “Ye monitors all headlines pertaining to him and his family daily.” He continued by saying, “Most all are being fed to media by 'sources close to the Kardashians,' which have been creating a false narrative that not only is untrue but further compromises his goal of creating a healthy environment for the beautiful children he shares with Kim. He's been focused on taking care of himself, being a present and loving father and a creative genius well before all the false headlines we've seen as recent." The Hollywood Unlocked CEO said, “If you don't hear it from [West's] mouth, read it from his social media, or get it from a press release he approved, it's simply false.” Stay tuned for more updates.

Kanye West reportedly informed his estranged wife Kim Kardashian that he will be "going away" for a period of time to seek help after a series of public rants aimed at Kim and her new beau Pete Davidson. 

A source close to the situation told PageSIx, “For the sake of the kids, Kanye has told Kim he’s not making any public appearances or inflammatory social media statements.” The source told the outlet “he will go away somewhere to get better.”

While it hasn't been confirmed by anyone on West's team that he will enter a mental health program, a rep of his told Complex, ”At this time, Ye is committed to a healthy co-parenting relationship with Kim and is and focused on raising their beautiful children.”
