CJ came through for his first-ever VladTV interview, and he started off by speaking to Shawn Prez about growing up in Staten Island and being interested in hip-hop from a young age, and going on to write his own songs starting at 12. After speaking more about his upbringing, CJ then detailed breaking through in the mainstream hip-hop world with his hit song “Whoopty.” CJ detailed making the beat for the song, putting it on YouTube, and it taking off on social media. During the conversation, CJ addressed the backlash from the song and other rumors about him stealing flows.
