Video of Hornets star Miles Bridges' dramatic exit from Wednesday (April 13) night's game against the Hawks after being ejected for arguing about a goaltending call.
Miles was seen angrily making his way back to the locker room after his teammates and coaches had to pull him off of the floor when he threw his mouthguard at a heckler in the stands. In the video, it appears that Miles is trying to hit a man, but the mouthguard ended up hitting a young girl in the face.
Following the game, which the Hornets lost 103-132, Miles apologized and told reporters that he was trying to get in touch with the girl's family so he could "do something nice for her."
He stated, "I was aiming for the guy that was screaming at me and it hit a little girl. So that's definitely unacceptable on my part and I take full responsibility. That's out of character for me. You've been around me -- I don't act like that or ever flash out like that. So, that was definitely wrong, a lot of emotions and hopefully, I can get in contact with the young girl and sincerely apologize to her and do something nice for her, but that's definitely on me."
Miles added, "I'm ready for any consequence that the NBA gives me."
