Reports surfaced noting Dallas Cowboys cornerback Kelvin Joseph has been named as a person of interest in a homicide investigation. Police reportedly want to speak with Joseph about a shooting that resulted in the death of 20-year-old Cameron Ray.
The shooting went down in Dallas on March 18 while Ray was in Dallas with a few friends for the weekend. The time in Dallas turned into a tragic event as a group of men sparked a fight with the group of men Cameron Ray was with. According to the police, Ray was NOT an aggressor in the scuffle. Following the altercation, footage shows Ray and his friends walking to their car when an SUV drove by the men who had just fought and began shooting. The gunfire struck Cameron Ray.
The group that police think was behind the shooting was seen on surveillance footage, and the Dallas Police Department believes Kelvin Joseph was one of the men seen close to the time of the homicide. ESPN noted that one of the men who was seen fighting was wearing a “YKDV” pendant, which is relevant because Kelvin Joseph’s rap name is “YKDV Bossman Fat.” As of now, the Dallas Cowboys have declined to comment on the matter. Stay tuned for more updates.
