Erica Banks busted on the hip-hop scene in a big way with her hit song "Buss It," which boasts 57 million views and counting on YouTube.

In light of her newfound fame, Erica revealed back in March that she reached out to Nicki Minaj for a collaboration, but she didn't hear anything back. She made the revelation after being blocked by Nicki for commenting on rapper Baby Tate's story about reaching out to Nicki multiple times without a response.

Erica took to Instagram Live to address being blocked by Nicki after commenting on Baby Tate's post, and she explained, "All I was saying was, us fans – we’re still fans, even though we’re artists – we do get in our feelings, and our feelings do get hurt when we feel like you don’t wanna work with us. How can you blame us for feeling like that, because this is our favorite artist? It’s a beautiful thing for us to even get a follow, or a like, or a comment…"

Erica further shared her thoughts on the situation during a recent sit-down on the Big Facts podcast, where she stated, "Well you know, I love Nicki but I just feel like I’ve been trynna reach out to her for a long time and I just feel like she really ignored me. And I feel like she entertains the girls who really don’t even know how to rap, you know what I’m saying? And my feelings hurt."

Erica was trending over the weekend after a clip of the interview went viral, which even caught the attention of Coi Leray, who recently collaborated with Nicki on "Blick Blick." Coi shared a clip of the interview along with five laughing emojis, as she clearly doesn't agree with Erica's assessment.
