Game 1 of the first-round matchup between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Minnesota Timberwolves was quite the emotional rollercoaster. Saturday's wild NBA playoff game saw Patrick Beverly throwing his body around the court and a fluctuating score all while Ja Morant's dad and Karl Anthony-Towns' dad exchanged banter all throughout the highly competitive contest. But perhaps the most intriguing aspect of the festive atmosphere, at what has become known by Memphis Grizzles' fans as the 'Grind House,' was the protester who threw flyers on the court before chaining herself to one of the basketball stanchions in an effort to protest Minnesota Timberwolves majority owner Glen Taylor.

The occurrence took place with 4:44 remaining second quarter, while the visiting team was clinging to a three-point lead and it marked the second time that a protest of this nature has taken place in less than a week. Last Tuesday, a fan attempted to glue herself to the court during the Timberwolves' play-in game against the Los Angeles Clippers. In both instances, the protesters appeared to be wearing T-Shirts with text that read: "Glen Taylor Roasts Animals Alive." This time around the protester was an 18-year-old named Zoe Rosenberg.

“I am sorry if anyone in Memphis felt disrespected," Rosenberg said.

It turns out that Roseberg is an active member of an activist group called Direct Action Everywhere (DxE) and the reason why she was protesting the majority owner of the Timberwolves is that he allegedly killed off nearly 5.3 million chickens at his Iowa egg factory in wake of a bird flu outbreak. Nevertheless, Rosenberg was arrested by Memphis Police Department and charged with disorderly conduct in addition to criminal trespassing. She has since been released on a $2,500 bond. Her court hearing is expected to take place on Monday, April 18.
