In August 2021, Kendrick Lamar revealed that he was dropping one more project with Top Dawg Entertainment. Now, the rapper has taken to social media to announce the name of the album, along with a release date for the project.
Via a letterhead from Kendrick Lamar’s company pgLang, the rapper gave up some details on his upcoming album. The letter went on to say “The following statement was released today by oklama. through his company pgLang at 11:00am PT in Los Angeles, CA.” From there, the letter simply laid out the album title “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers.” From there, a release date of May 13, 2022, was shown. The letter concluded by saying “All factual information for this release will come directly from this source only.”
Previously, TDE President Punch spoke on Lamar’s departure from the label, saying Kendrick is a “grown man” who is “more so ready to build his own thing.” Take a look above.
