The debate over what is the greatest hip-hop album of all time is an ongoing one. However, when pioneering hip-hop figures such as Ice T provide their takes on these types of matters, it's instructive to listen to their answers even if we tend not to agree.

During a recent appearance on Jimmy Fallon, Ice T played a game of "Ice-T Settles It" where he fielded questions about a number of things including one about the gratest rap album of all time.

According to Ice T, the GOAT rap album is Rakim's and Eric B's Paid in Full. "That was the most influential album to me when I was making my album," he said. Following Paid in Full, Ice T chose Public Enemy's Fear Of A Black Planet and N.W.A's Straight Outta Compton at second and third, respectively.

"Each one of those albums had a lot to do with influencing me as an MC. But when I heard Rakim, I had never heard nobody rap like that. And it was so many hits on that album. Get Paid In Full and you’ll bang it all the way to the house," he said.
